Last week I went to visit Saint Eustache. St. Eustache is an off-island suburb of Montreal on the north shore of the Mille-Iles river. The center of town is the old part where you see beautiful old houses and buildings which remind you of another era. Here are some pictures of this charming little town.
a lovely old home decorated for Halloween
another older home on the main street
a cute little restaurant on the main street
older row houses with exterior stairs
a tiny little theater in middle of town
the long bridge leading from Laval to Saint Eustache
the street overlooking the river
Nice pics

What a beautiful town. I could easily live here. I can imagine it decorated for Christmas and covered in white 🙂

I will definitely take pictures in winter when it is decorated for Christmas.

I just love small old towns and architecture like this. I could see me living in a place like that — if it wasn’t so cold! HA!

Yes, if it wasn’t so cold !!! You said it. The winters here are long and cold and not very nice. Definitely prefer summer !

Magical. I love maps and it would be great to see a map of Montreal, Also what does off-island mean. I think I can work it out but. I don’t want you to send or post a map but just a web site that would be the best in your opinion.

Montreal is an Island surrounded by other islands. Most of the suburbs are off-island where you have to drive over those horrible long bridges. You can read a lot about Montreal on Wiki. Hope that helps.

Vielen Dank Monika.
