Another beautiful Montreal apartment

There are many old buildings in Montreal.   Some of the most popular areas are Plateau Mont Royal, Outremont, Rosemont and of course Westmount.   Many of these houses have been family homes which now have been divided into apartments.   Some of them were already built as duplexes or apartment houses.

Here is another older apartment which just looks amazing:

A small balcony overlooking a busy street.   On the opposite side there are houses with the famous Montreal outside stairs.

MY OWN BOHO HOME

I like the global Boho look with Kilim carpets and colourful cushions from India or China.  Together with exotic plants and Bamboo leaves one can really create super interiors.

I always change the cushion covers and move the furniture around and this is how you can create a new look without spending money.

VIEUX TERREBONNE

I often drive to Vieux Terrebonne, a small town north of Montreal, which is a lovely little town with ancient houses and narrow little streets, full of cafés and restaurants.    In the middle there is a very big park and a river just next to an ancient looking library.    Every time I go there I think that I am back in the last century, but in a nice way.

I found these lovely pictures on a Japanese photo sharing  site.  I liked them so much that I would like to show them here.

THE JUNGLE AT HOME

Now it is getting colder, especially during the night, and I already had to bring in some plants.   I have lots of pots of geraniums and a large hibiscus plant out there.  Perhaps a little too much.   And now I have to find a place for all of them.  It is getting a big tight here around the house.  The good thing is that I have a sunroom (which gets quite cold in winter as well) with lots of windows.   I only have to be careful in winter when the cold air comes through the glass windows and might have to move the plants again.

here a couple of pictures of my jungle :
